This an oil painting of my dog, Rudy's, eyes. The painting was based of this image of mine [link] . I think it transfered pretty well from the small image to canvas, because the initial canvas drawing was freehanded. My only gripe is the color, he is a yellow lab, but not THAT yellow. And i wasnt able to get the eyes to look symetrical, see how the left (his right) looks much better than the other eye?
Also not, the eyes were coated in polyurethane, so when the photographed the image it gave off that sparkle. In real life its not that drastic, it was just put on to make the eyes look wet/real.
** Image file resubmitted on Oct 23, 2007. His left eye still suffers from the glitter effect however.

You painted this? Every time I passed it in the halls at school I mentioned to my friend that it was amazing. She got quite annoyed by day 4-5. I love it.
